The Chicken Lab to Open New Location at Harbor Point
Beatty Development and Armada Hoffler announced today that the Chicken Lab will be opening a new location at Harbor Point. With a tentative opening scheduled for early 2024, the Chicken Lab will lease 1,100 square feet on the ground floor of the Constellation Building facing Harbor Point’s Central Plaza.
The Chicken Lab specializes in South Korean gang-jeong crispy chicken, where pieces of double deep-fried chicken are stir-fried and mixed with sweet and spicy sauce, vegetables, and fried rice cake. Every dish is created using only fresh ingredients, and many of the offerings are made in-house from scratch, including the sauces, coleslaw, and pickles. The new grab-and-go location will be open for lunch and dinner, with an initial menu that also features rice bowls, sandwiches, and salads.
“We’re excited to introduce this South Korean favorite to a new audience at Harbor Point,” said Na Yi, Co-Owner, Chicken Lab. “Every dish at the Chicken Lab is expertly prepared with quality ingredients and bold flavors, creating a delicious and authentic experience that we hope will delight each and every guest.”
The Chicken Lab is the fourth restaurant to be announced for Harbor Point since mid-2023, joining the recently opened Charm City Poke & Mochi. Baltimore mainstay Attman’s Delicatessen is currently on track to open before the end of the year while Sartori, a new Italian concept from Edward Bosco (Verde), is scheduled to open Spring 2024.
We have worked hard to ensure that each retail tenant we select for Harbor Point elevates the neighborhood with a diverse mix of offerings and uses,” said Michael Beatty, President, Beatty Development Group. “The Chicken Lab is another fresh, unique addition that further contributes to our vision for the area, and especially the Central Plaza, as a true gathering spot for the community.”
The Constellation Building is currently home to Breathing Dragon Yoga, Ceremony Coffee Roasters, Charm City Poke & Mochi, honeygrow, Inspire Nail Bar & Spa, Resistance Cycle, and west elm. Opened in 2016 at Harbor Point, the Constellation Building (formerly the Exelon Building) serves as the headquarters of Constellation Energy and a regional office for the Exelon Corporation. Located at 1310 Point Street, the mixed-use building also includes the 103 residences of 1305 Dock Street, and a 750-car parking garage.
Positioned along Baltimore’s scenic waterfront between Harbor East and Fell’s Point, Harbor Point is a 27-acre mixed-use neighborhood with a planned 4.5 million square feet of office, retail, residential, and hotel uses, as well as 9.5 acres of open space.
Jeff Bach and Ana Henrich of JLL represented the landlord, Armada Hoffler, in the transaction. Tim Harrington of MacKenzie Retail represented the tenant.
