Construction Update: Living Classrooms Marina

Construction activities are set to begin on a new marina for the Living Classrooms Foundation. Here’s what to expect:

  • A portion of Dock Street, including the roadway and sidewalk on the north side of the street, will be closed for pile driving activities, effective Tuesday morning, 1/31/23. This portion of Dock Street should reopen by Thursday, 2/2/23. The underground garage entrance off Dock Street will remain open and accessible.

  • Vibration pile driving will continue on the west side of the Central Avenue Bridge. Vibration pile driving is expected to last approximately three weeks. Pile driving hours will be: Monday-Saturday, 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. No traffic stops are anticipated for the duration of this work.

  • Overall project completion is anticipated in late April/early May.
