Merry & Bright to Premiere at Harbor Point
All are invited to get into the holiday spirit at Merry & Bright, a new seasonal pop-up experience premiering this December at Harbor Point. Event-goers will be able to purchase their Christmas tree, do some holiday shopping, sip festive cocktails, and maybe even catch a glimpse of Santa Claus, all under the Harbor Point Central Plaza’s canopy of lights. Best of all, every dollar spent at Merry & Bright will directly benefit local non-profit organizations or support local businesses.
Merry & Bright will be open on the Harbor Point Central Plaza (1310 Point Street) from Thursday-Sunday, December 2-5 and 9-12, weeknights from 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., and weekends from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The event will feature two marquee attractions:
The Tree Farm
A live Christmas tree lot will be built on the Central Plaza. Each day of the event, a different local non-profit organization will volunteer their time at the Tree Farm in exchange for 100% of the profits they make selling Christmas trees. The Tree Farm is made possible thanks to contributions by Constellation Energy and the Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore.
The T. Rowe Price Maker’s Market
An open-air, pop-up marketplace showcasing local makers and artisans from around Baltimore will provide shoppers the opportunity to pick the perfect gift, shop local, and support small businesses as these talented retailers will keep 100% of the profits earned from their time at Merry & Bright. The T. Rowe Price Maker’s Market will be anchored by The Greenhouse, which will be selling holiday wreaths and greens.
“As we look forward to moving into our new Harbor Point headquarters, we’re excited to sponsor the T. Rowe Price Maker’s Market, located in our soon-to-be backyard,” said Renee Christoff, head of Global Associate Engagement and Corporate Responsibility at T. Rowe Price. “Supporting local artisans and small businesses by giving them a prominent space to sell their works, aligns perfectly with our work in the community to expand opportunity for all.”
Merry & Bright will feature traditional holiday drinks for the whole family, as well as signature cocktails from Bar Movement and fun special events, including a dog-centric happy hour hosted by Dogs of Charm City, photos with Santa, and more surprises to be announced closer to the opening of the event.
“It is exciting to watch Harbor Point grow and truly become a neighborhood,” said Michael Beatty, President, Beatty Development Group. “The goal of Harbor Point has always been to enhance the Baltimore community, and we’re fortunate to have the venue and platform to start new traditions like Merry & Bright that directly benefit local non-profits and small businesses.”
